Pingmap

See your users where they are in the world

Pingmap is a map of where your users are in the world. Use it to motivate your team, impress your investors, or to show new users you're legit. Put your Pingmap on a TV in the office, send it via email, link to it from your homepage, or just keep it internal.

It’s easy to lose sight of your users on the other side of the Internet. They become faceless names in a database or on a list. Looking at your Pingmap makes them real. There are people out there using your software. See them.

I'm excited to release Pingmap today! It's a simple concept: your users on a world map.

A previous product of mine had about 5k users and I used to love looking at the Intercom user map. It was motivating to see people all over the world using my product. So I wanted to build a similar, standalone version that is fit to put on a TV in the office.

Installing Pingmap in your product is as simple as installing Google Analytics. Once the JS code is there, Pingmap starts generating your map as your users login. Attach a profile image or Pingmap will pull one from Gravatar. You'll gain new insights into your users as you learn where they're coming from in the world.

I'm happy to answer any questions. So hit me up here or on chat at pingmap.io :) Thanks!
@yatesbrett Do you need Intercom to use it?
@mijustin Nope. It's a standalone product and doesn't have anything to do with Intercom. (Good question and thanks for letting me clarify ;)
I presume the map shown above is only viewable by the site owner. Is there also a public version without user information you can place on your site?
@markhorgan Yes exactly. The first 2 screenshots show the site owner's view, while the 3rd screenshot is an example of the shareable version. The markers aren't clickable and there is no identifying information.
@yatesbrett I should also add that the map is private by default. There is no shareable version until you're ready to share it.
As a #mapnerd, love the product. I'm wondering if this is currently only mapping active users on a site?
@EnlightenData Hi Dennis and thanks! Your Pingmap will always show the last login location for all users regardless of whether or not they're currently logged in and active on the site.
